The website about Future Learning Spaces is now live!
Ever heard of an Active learning classroom
or a Collaborative classroom? Would you like more information about the
influence of the physical learning space on learning? Are you curious about
what learning spaces are and which ones you can use within the UU? As of today
you can follow information and current developments regarding learning spaces
on the new website.
From the beginning of 2019, the Future
learning spaces project team at the UU is looking into the question of what the
physical learning environment of the future will look like. In addition to
brainstorming together about future visions and following developments in the
field of education, the project group has realized experimental learning spaces
that support the Utrecht educational vision. At the Bolognalaan, for example,
the Active Learning classroom was set up where teachers can experiment with
interactive, student-centered learning. The project team also researches and evaluates
experiences gained by teachers in other experimental classrooms, such as those
in the Teaching & Learning lab or the Virtual Classroom.
With this new website we want to take
people from both inside and outside the University with us on our journey to
the realization of a learning environment that suits the character of the
university and the demands of our time.
